Benidorm offers talks to beachgoers to raise awareness about the value of posidonia
Benidorm City Council, through the Beaches Department headed by Mónica Gómez, has scheduled a series of informative talks to raise awareness among beach users about the value of posidonia.
Under the title "Posidonia: The Underwater Treasure of Coastal Ecosystems," Sandra Cristina Gómez Durán, a graduate in Environmental Sciences from the University of Murcia and a specialist in Waste Management and Natural Environment Management, will educate beachgoers about the importance of posidonia in the marine environment and its role in preventing beach erosion through a scientific talk.
The first stop of this informative and awareness-raising event will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13, at noon at the La Cala beach library. The next meeting will be on August 20th, also at noon at Elche Park Beach Library. The last talk will take place on Wednesday, August 27th, at Levante Beach Library, also at noon.
