Aniversario Policía Local

On the occasion of the one hundred and seventy-eighth anniversary of the birth of Benidorm Local Police, which takes place on March 1, the Sociocultural Association of the body has scheduled a series of activities that will culminate next Sunday, March 6, with the institutional act organized by Benidorm City Council.

The activities began on Sunday the 20th with a hiking march up in Sanxet (Polop) in which fifty agents, relatives and friends participated. On Tuesday, a police training day was held with the assistance of twenty police officers and from tomorrow, Thursday, sports activities such as football, lawn bowling, paddle tennis, cycling and basketball will take place at the city's municipal facilities.

On Friday, at 7:30 p.m., the Town Hall Assembly Hall will host the conference 'Mountain Safety', given by José Ignacio Amat, an expert mountaineer with more than 33 years of experience, a graduate in Physical Activity Sciences and Sport and sports and climbing technician. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached and the use of a mask is mandatory.

Finally, and prior to the institutional act on Sunday, on Friday 4 an open day will be held at the Municipal Police control post in Grecia street in Benidorm. Residents who wish to do so may visit the modern facilities and take part in the welcome activities that include tasting chocolate with biscuits and, for the little ones, being able to ride the patrol cars and motorbikes and enjoy the bouncy castles that will be located in police stations.
