Benidorm launches a new edition of the ‘Guide for employment and training resources’
Benidorm City Council has launched a new updated edition of the ‘Guide for resources for employment and training’ in Benidorm, presented today by the Councilors for Employment and Local Promotion and Education, Mónica Gómez and Maite Moreno. This is “an indispensable resource and a complement to the tasks that are carried out by the Employment and Local Development Agency (AEDL)”, which includes “the training offer of Benidorm and its closest geographical environment”, as well as “A directory of public and private resources, and detailed support information for job search, for the creation of companies and for specific groups, such as people with functional diversity”.
Gómez has indicated that this guide meets “one of the main objectives pursued by AEDL, such as helping to increase information and advice channels in different areas related to employment, training and business creation or support for entrepreneurs".
Moreno, on the other hand, has pointed out that this guide provides citizens with “a global vision of the educational itineraries offered by Benidorm and the region,” while constituting “an essential tool, especially for secondary schools and school counselors. ”In order to direct students into their incorporation into the labor market.
This guide has meant an investment of 4,385.67 euros, has been prepared by the technicians of both departments and has received a 40% subsidy from the Provincial Council of Alicante.
The Councilor for Employment has explained that "800 copies" of this guide have been edited, which "will be distributed to different entities such as Secondary Education Institutes, business or sector associations - disabled, women, students, among others -", and will be available to users in the Department of Social Welfare, Youth and Education and in the municipalities of other locations.
It will also be sent to “unions and other institutions related to training and employment, to public entities, to organizations that request it directly in the Employment and Local Development Agency itself, as well as to participants in their own programs, both training and of access to employment ”. In addition, it will be available ‘online’ on the municipal website www.benidorm.org.
