The city will occupy a position in the governing body chosen for the period 2020-2024
Benidorm joins the RECI Board of directors
Benidorm City Council is now part of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), as reported by the mayor, Toni Pérez, at the end of the General Assembly of the entity held today in Logroño . Pérez explained that in this Assembly the new governing body of RECI has been elected for the period 2020-2024.
The mayor has made a "positive" balance of attending the RECI Assembly, "an experience shared with cities such as the hostess, Madrid, Barcelona, Santander, Valencia or other twin cities such as Alicante and Orihuela"
Benidorm has been part of the RECI since May 2016, a body that includes 83 municipalities and which today is the mayor of Logroño. Within this organization, Benidorm co-directs, together with Palma de Mallorca, the working group on Smart Tourist Destinations (DTI’s). It happens that Benidorm is the first certified DTI in the world according to the UNE 178501 standard.
