Employment and Local Promotion reserves 60,000 euros for this call, which this year, in addition to financing administrative personnel expenses, also includes other expenses
Benidorm increases the amount of aid to 9,000 euros to collaborate with the expenses of business associations

The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved the bases of the aid to collaborate with the labor and operating expenses of the associations formed by companies and / or entrepreneurs in Benidorm, which are annually launched by the Department of Employment and Local Promotion. Aids that, this year and "in response to the difficult circumstances caused by the Covid-19 crisis", increase "the maximum eligible amount per association to 9,000 euros, 2,000 euros more than in the two previous calls", according to the councillor of the department, Mónica Gómez.
The person in charge of Employment and Local Promotion has recalled that these subsidies are aimed at business associations and entrepreneurs of Benidorm -not-for-profit-, which have an establishment working and open to the public with business hours and that they carry out support activities for entrepreneurs and companies in the city. "With these grants - she added - we want to help maintain the jobs of administrative personnel, which are directly generated by these entities."
Gómez has indicated that "the call for 2021 is logically marked by the current situation and therefore in addition to contemplating an increase in the maximum amount of aid to be granted, we also increase the eligible expenses". Thus, “as in previous editions, the expenses of the personnel who are in charge of the administrative and management functions of the association are taken care of, but as a novelty we also include the rental costs of the establishment or premises in which the entity has its headquarters in Benidorm and the supply of electricity and water ”.
The councillor has stated that "in recent years the City Council has intensified collaboration with business associations and entrepreneurs in Benidorm, among other formulas developing joint actions to promote entrepreneurship, training and employment. Also, with this line of aid, which we are now reinforcing to help maintain the jobs and activity of these entities, and thus the service they provide to their associates ”.
For this line of aid, 60,000 euros have been initially reserved. Applications can be processed through the web (https://sede.benidorm.org) from the day after the publication of the bases in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) and until November 15.
In 2020, the Local Radio Taxi Association of Benidorm, the Business Association of Travel Agencies of Benidorm (AVIBE), the Association of Young Tourism Entrepreneurs of Benidorm (JETURBE), the Association of Tourist Apartment and Housing Companie of the Valencian Community and the Independent Association of Merchants of Benidorm (AICO), benefited from this aid.
Gómez recalled that, apart from this call, the City Council has mobilized since March 2020 more than 7 million euros in direct aid to the productive sector of Benidorm to mitigate the economic effects of the pandemic.
