Benidorm inaugurates the exhibition 'No em toques el WhatsApp' in the Espai d'Art

11 September 2017
Benidorm inaugura la exposición ‘No em toques el WhatsApp’ en el Espai d’Art

The show was born on the occasion of the 'International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women'

This afternoon the exhibition 'No em toques el whatsapp' was inaugurated in the Espai d'Art of the lobby of the Benidorm Town Hall in an event in which the councilors of Youth, Ana Pellicer, and Equality, Paquita Ripoll, and representatives of other municipal groups.

The sample consists of 48 photographs on vertical panels that compose the winning works of the contest 'No em toques el WhasApp', organized by the IVAJ (Valencian Institute of Youth) on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women which is celebrated every 25th of November.

'No em toques el WhasApp' arrives in the city sponsored by Jove's Marina Baixa, the entity that includes the youth councils of Alfàs del Pi, Benidorm, Callosa d'En Sarrià, Finestrat, Castell de Guadalest, Polop and la Vila Joiosa and will remain in this public space until next Saturday, September 16, coinciding with the celebration in the city of the Youth Day.

Ana Pellicer has invited all the citizens to see the exposition because it shows a "shocking" social reality. An exhibition "very realistic, a very up-to-date subject", as it is gender violence from the perspective of the youngest, and that nobody should miss because "a picture speaks a thousand words", said the councilor of Youth.
