Benidorm hosts Dialog-A Project, which seeks to involve young people in the design of municipal policy
The Department of Youth organized Dialog-A Project yesterday, promoted by the Provincial Council of Alicante and that has been touring the province, after passing through Alcoy, Elda and Calpe, which will join Orihuela and Alicante. A project that has European funding through the Erasmus + program and is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years and totally free.
The objectives of these meetings of Dialog-a Project of Diputación de Alicante, are to involve young people in the design of municipal public policy. In the session held in Benidorm, the subject "Digital competence and modernization of Public Administrations" was addressed, which counted with the participation of several experts in the matter and who discussed in each of the round tables, issues such as innovation in the education and mobility system, transparency, politics and social networks, climate change and water and solid waste management policies, and employment and equal opportunities.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the councilor of Youth, Ana Pellicer and the provincial deputy Adrián Ballester welcomed the more than fifty participants who gathered in the space enabled on the fifth floor of the Torrejó building and thanked them their interest, "to be trained in the skills necessary for the exercise of active citizenship, as well as to promote experiences and good practices in youth participation, together with policy makers".
