Now work is being done on micropiling tasks, in what will be the underpass of the track
Benidorm hopes to finish this week the night work on Beniardá project
The City Council apologizes for the inconvenience, regrets that FGV does not suspend the rail service and affirms that it will do "everything possible" to shorten the deadlines
Benidorm City Council has shown confidence that this week the micro piling work that is being carried out in the work of burial of Beniardá avenue will be considered completed. These works, which are carried out at night for security reasons, will be carried out today Monday, tomorrow Tuesday and Thursday from midnight until after four in the morning, while rail traffic is suspended. The objective of this phase is to secure the TRAM track so that the excavation can continue without interruption.
In fact, from the Department of Public Space, the Local Police have been notified to inform them of the performance of these tasks at night "to avoid the risk of those who use transport and those who use the level crossing" indicated the Councilor José Ramón González de Zárate, who added that the company "will take the appropriate measures to minimize inconvenience to residents."
The councilor has specified that from the government team "we continuously inform the neighbors and, together with the technicians, we are very much on top of the work because we understand that it is extremely important for two reasons: first, because almost 40,000 vehicles entered through there every day and Second because we want it to end as soon as possible”.
González de Zárate has highlighted the "great effort" of the residents of the area "who have to put up with the road cut and noise all day and now they are subjected to another effort at night due to the micro-piling work, just below of the road”. At that point, the councilor has returned to regret the attitude of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) "because they do not look around the city or the neighbors since they could suspend the TRAM service while the works last." González de Zárate recalled that a year ago, due to the works at the station and the workshops, "yes they did, but not now".
For this reason, the mayor has once again pointed out that "they harm the neighbors", to whom he has reiterated "my apologies". However, he has stressed that “we will do everything possible to shorten the deadlines. It will not be Benidorm or its neighbors who paralyze or slow down the work. We will make the necessary effort so that it is finished before the summer, although we hope that this will be the last week of night work”.
In the same way, the councilor for Public Space has reported on the closure of the park of bio-healthy elements and game of petanque located next to the Lavandín "for security reasons, since it is impossible for the neighbors who make use of the park to coexist with the work. We closed it for them and their safety and to have the work completed before the summer of 2023.”
