Lourdes Caselles highlights in Real Estate Market Forum that Benidorm is repositioning itself in the second home segment
The councilor for Urbanism and Housing, Lourdes Caselles, has attended this morning in Alicante the forum organized by Plaza Group on the Real Estate Market and in which she shared a debate with the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the councilor for Urbanism of Alicante City Council, Adrián Santos.
Along with them representatives and managers of consultants and construction companies have participated, as well as Emilio Vicedo, president of the College of Architects of Alicante.
Caselles highlighted that “Benidorm has maintained activity in the construction and public works sectors, and this has not stopped except from March 31 to April 9, 2020, when the Government decided to lengthen the lock down ”.
Before and after, pointed out the councillor of Urbanism and Housing of Benidorm City Council, "the activity has been maintained with public works actions, taking advantage of the void situation in the face of restrictions on mobility and tourism, and development of real estate developments". Right now, Caselles said, "Benidorm offers more than 900 second-home homes through high-level promotions that position this destination internationally as well as residential."
In the debate, Pablo Serna (TM Real Estate Group), Sebastián Fullana (Levantina), Cristina Morató (Olivares Consultores), Alfredo Millá (Sonneil-Homes), Juan López (Aedas Home), Javier Pérez (Civica Homes), Jaime Orquín ( Grupo Fil) and Nacho Almirola (Euroval) have proposed, together with the councilors and the president of the College of Architects, their analysis of the process during the pandemic, pointing out the strengthening of the real estate component in the province, channeling demand towards sustainability, efficiency energy and open and healthy spaces, confirming the enhancement of natural materials and the boom and versatility of digitization and new technology for the sale of real estate where the province maintains a dominant position in the general Spanish panorama.
