Benidorm grants another 17,100 euros to new companies and entrepreneurs
Benidorm City Council has granted 17,100 euros to new companies and entrepreneurial projects that have been launched throughout this year. This is in addition to the 52,500 euros approved in previous remittances.
Specifically, the Local Government Board approved last Monday the fifth remittance of this line of aid promoted by the Department of Employment and Local Promotion to support the creation of new companies and the deployment of entrepreneurial projects in the city.
The councillor for the department, Mónica Gómez, has detailed that “21 new self-employed and business projects have benefited from this latest remittance, reaching 84 entrepreneurial projects so far this year, which have received between 700 and 1,000 euros of grants for their business activity”. The councillor added that “as is usual in every one of the remittances, the diversity of activities and services stands out, which is a good example of the dynamism of the city and the opportunities it offers for different sectors”.
Gómez recalled that the objective of these subsidies, which have already translated into a municipal investment of 69,600 euros, is “to promote economic promotion and job creation in our city”, either through entrepreneurs who have established themselves in the last year as self-employed workers with tax domicile in Benidorm and are registered in the town or with people who are not registered but who have registered as self-employed, with tax domicile in the city and have processed an opening license at Benidorm City Council between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024, having also started their economic activity between these dates.
