Benidorm gives in advance 40,000 euros of the subsidy for 2017 to Doble Amor center
The Board of Governors approves this measure at the association request
The Local Government Board approved on Tuesday to advance the Doble Amor Association 40,000 euros of the subsidy for the year 2017. The proposal of the councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, ruled on Monday in an information commission, says that this money will go "to urgent payments of the entity "so that it can" continue with normality its services to the users of the center ".
Llorca explained that this advance responds to the request presented in writing by the association and that "we have not hesitated to attend it" because "our commitment to this entity and the work it carries out is firm."
The councillor recalled that the association has an Occupational Center attended by 51 people with disabilities in Benidorm and the region, as well as a Special Employment Center, Doble Amor Laundry, in which 48 workers with different disabilities work there.
In order to be able to take care of the payment of this advance, the City Hall has approved "an exceptional extension of the subsidy granted in 2016", while approving the one included in the municipal budget of 2017.
