The city continues betting on gastronomy as a tourist claim and presents during the fair the five activities that will be carried out throughout the year
The gastronomic offer in Benidorm has 'travelled' once more to Madrid Tourism Fair (Fitur), the place chosen by the City Council, Visit Benidorm Foundation and the Association of Bars, Restaurants and Cafes (Abreca) to present the calendar of 'Benidorm Gastronómico 2017', made up of five activities that will take place between February and October.
Benidorm Gastronómico 2017 will be premiered with the VI Days of the Spoon, from 25 February to 5 March. On May 16 it will be the turn of the II Gastronomic Fair; and from 10 to 18 June will be held the longest event: the VII Tapas and Pinchos Competition. After the summer, from September 23 to October 1, it will take place the II Contest of the Brochette; and from the 21st to the 29th of October the VI Days of the Rice that will close Benidorm Gastronómico.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, said that "gastronomy is a tourist attraction for which we have to continue betting and that we must continue to pamper, and in this sense we have a catering sector involved and focused on making known the best of our cuisine ". Pérez indicated that when programming a new edition of Gastronómico Benidorm "we have decided the events to be developed outside the high season, so that they serve as a catalyst in times when the activity of establishments is not so intense ".
