Toni Pérez appreciates the efforts of people who participated in the firefighting and Agustín Navarro praised the solidarity and the operation that gave the City Council
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, in the extraordinary plenary session today, qualified like "extraordinary" and "urgent" the situation experienced by the populations of Benitatxell and Javea in the Marina Alta and Bolulla, Tárbena, Callosa and Altea in the Marina Baixa after the tragic fires that have ravaged their towns in recent days. Pérez condemned "the senselessness of those who play with nature playing with lives of others, extinguish our heritage and life threatening the most precious natural asset we have: our forest". The mayor of Benidorm also thanked administrations, the Forces of State Security, firefighters, volunteers, forestry brigades and neighbors for their active participation that has "contributed to the extinction and control of these fires", and, above all, stressed the" solidarity of the people of Benidorm with each and every one of those affected "and its municipalities. Toni Pérez ended his speech wishing these situations "are not repeated". Then the Socialist councilor, provincial deputy and former mayor of Benidorm, Agustín Navarro, took the floor to congratulate Pérez for his intervention on behalf of the entire municipal corporation . Navarro praised the mayor for helping the mayors of the affected municipalities. The provincial deputy asked Pérez to extend its congratulations and thanks all participants because "this is solidarity", he ended.
