The water will be reused for the daily washing of the streets
Benidorm empties the municipal swimming pool of Palau d'Esports to prepare it for the new course
The Department of Street Cleaning of Benidorm City Council has proceeded to empty the municipal swimming pool of Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm to prepare it for the new course. The water will be used in the daily washing of the city streets, as reported by the Councilor for Street Cleaning, Luis Navarro.
As has been done in previous years, the water from the pool will be used to wash the streets for about ten days. This is a task that is carried out every year at the end of August to undertake maintenance tasks in the pool "while guaranteeing maximum use of the water". The two pools add up to more than 400,000 liters of water.
The councillor has appealed to the residents' associations who intend to empty their pools at the end of the summer for reasons of repairs, leaks, etc. "Instead of pouring it into the sewer, they must notify the City Council or the FCC to be able to collect that water and use it for flushing."
