Benidorm DTI and its Smart Office, models in a SEGITTUR seminar for Central America
Benidorm participates today in the first DTI course for Central America, in online format, organized by SEGITTUR and the Secretary for Central American Tourism Integration (SITCA).
In it, 70 representatives of tourism organizations from the 7 Central American countries -Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama- participate at the highest institutional levels of Tourism organization.
The Secretary of State for Tourism of Spain, in response to the international interest expressed by the DTI developments implemented in our country and the applicability of integrated solutions, through SEGITTUR and the DTI Network, has launched this course, taught by the SEGITTUR's technical team and specialized speakers, with online sessions for five days to analyze in depth the Spanish DTI model where Benidorm, the first certified DTI in the world since 2018, exposes its DTI implementation process, its Smart Office and the transition to Smart Destination Lab together with its Roadmap and the new reorganization to DTI + Seguro and the initiatives adopted during the pandemic: Benidorm Beach Safety, CovidON protocols and Benidorm Island.
During the days of the course, the issues on which the DTI proposals gravitate in technology and digitization, innovation, sustainability, accessibility, governance and public-private articulation, explained by heads of national destinations who have worked on the DTI SEGITTUR methodology such as Benidorm, will also be analyzed. , Santander, Almería or Valencia, as well as those induced in Montevideo, Tequila, Buenos Aires and Costa Rica.
