Benidorm delivers the prizes of the XXX New Creators Contest 'Benidorm 2018'

The jury of the XXX Competition of New Artists of Painting and Sculpture 'Benidorm 2018', organized by the Department of Youth and formed by Grisel Tortosa, José Albero and Ofelia Jurado, has determined that the winners of the thirtieth edition of New Creators Contest are Gudzykevyeh Antón, in the modality of Painting for his work 'Momento' and Felix Ángel Soto, in Sculpture, for 'The Owl'. The award to the youngest of 18 years has been for José Torralbo, who has presented the painting 'La Habana'.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilor for Youth, Ana Pellicer, have delivered at noon the accreditation diplomas and checks worth 1,000 euros to the winners (100 to under 18), in an act that It has been held at Museu Boca del Calvari where the participating works will remain on display until March 17.

The winning painting and sculpture of this XXX Contest of New Creators will become part of the municipal heritage. The Youth Council is already working on the call for the next edition of the contest to be held this year and in which young artists between 14 and 35 who may wish to participate may participate.
