Benidorm culminated yesterday a full day of 8M, International Women's Day, with more activities that took place in the afternoon and that continued those carried out in the morning with the display of the commemorative banner, the exhibition of the Housewives and the inauguration from the exhibition of illustrations by Sandra Prim.

Thus, the afternoon began at La Torreta social center where Mujeres 2000 Benidorm association had programmed the play 'La risa es la mejor medicina'. With a full auditorium, the attendees enjoyed the humor that the play and the performances gave off. Among the attendees was the mayor Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, and members of the corporation.

An hour later, at 6:30 p.m., the Association of Housewives delighted with the 'Homenaje Mujeres de Benidorm' of poetry and song, an act that was also attended by the mayor and the councilor for Equality and councilors of the corporation, in addition of an audience that filled the venue.

The programming on the occasion of 8M will continue today with the conference 'Mujer, Trabajo y salud' by Dr. Eva Ibeas at Casa del Fester, at 7:00 p.m.

Tomorrow, Friday, the 'Música para Mujeres' concert will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall, and on Saturday the 11th a self-defense workshop has been organized at Palau d'Esports l'Illa from 10 to 12 noon.

The events will conclude on March 20 with the Red Cross exhibition 'Mujeres del Mundo', in which the Department of Equality collaborates. It will be in the Espai d'Art of the Town Hall and can be visited until March 31.

"We will complete a month with all kinds of activities to celebrate this anniversary, with a very complete and commemorative program for the dates we are on," said the councilor. Zaragozí, highlighted that programming "has taken a lot of time and coordination."
