Benidorm continues with the cleaning and disinfection of public spaces started on Friday due to the coronavirus crisis
Following instructions from Benidorm City Council, the concessionaire for street cleaning, Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC), has been carrying out cleaning and disinfection work on the city's public spaces since last Friday, March 13, as well as of containers and furniture. The Councilor for Street Cleaning and Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained that "this was one of the measures adopted to prevent transmission, contagion and spread of coronavirus."
De Zárate noted that "the streets are being thoroughly cleaned with hoses and pressurized water with hypochlorite to prevent the presence of the virus on the asphalt and pavement", adding that "these actions will continue as long as the crisis by COVID continues- 19 ”.
In addition, “these tasks are also being carried out, in collaboration with other municipal contracts, in parks, children's playground and bio-healthy areas that have been completely closed to the public since the weekend, but even so, and for prevention, they must be disinfected in depth".
