Benidorm commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Association of Benidorm and the Region, ASMIBE, together with the Department of Social Welfare, has summoned its associates, supporters and neighbors, in the Assembly Hall of the City Council, for the reading of the traditional manifesto prepared especially for the occasion from the Cermi (Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities).
The Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, has been in charge of reading the manifesto that has reflected on the effects that the pandemic and the health alert caused by Covid-19 have had especially among the group and their families. Next, the film ‘Specials’ (2019), by Éric Toledao and Olivier Nakache, winner of the City of Donostia Audience Award from the Pearls section of the San Sebastián Festival has been screened.
Today's event has brought an end to the commemorative events of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in the city that began yesterday with an informational table in La Palmera.
