Benidorm commemorates the International Day against Breast Cancer with the reading of a manifesto and a great human bond in Levante Beach
The self-help group for women with breast cancer in the Marina Baixa, Anémona, in collaboration with the Department of Equality, has celebrated the International Day against Breast Cancer, with various activities whose main objective is to raise awareness among the population about this disease. This morning the association participated in a round table within the day 'Women & Participation' held at ADDA Alicante. This afternoon Plaza del Torrejó was the secene for the reading of a manifesto by the Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll and the young María López and María Pérez under the symphony 'Marieta Marieta' played by the guitar group of the SM La Nova.
After that a great human bond was formed on Levante beach with ample representation of the municipal corporation, led by the Mayor Toni Pérez and members of the municipal corporation. Subsequently, a talk about exercise, nutrition and wellness therapy was conducted by José Vidal Health Studio.
In addition throughout the day Benidorm City Council and several hotel establishments will also be illuminated for the occasion.
The events will be closed next Sunday with the XVI Solidarity March whose departure will be at 10.00 am at Plaza SSMM los Reyes de España and will travel 10 km to reach Bilbao Avenue, where there will be tasting of rice, a bar at popular prices and from 12:30 pm the Zumba Marathon will start uninterrupted for two hours by Jessica Expósito and Fabi Torres. The donation will be € 8 with the delivery of a commemorative shirt, water and fruit.
