Benidorm collaborates with the SEUR Foundation in the campaign 'Caps for a new life'
Benidorm City Council, continuing with the selective collection program that it has been carrying out for years in the city, will collaborate with SEUR Foundation in the campaign 'Caps for a new life'. Thus, the Local Government Board has approved the signing of an agreement with this entity for the placement of specific containers for the selective collection of plastic bottle caps.
In addition, the agreement includes the realization of a campaign to protect the most disadvantaged and marginalized children.
The campaign, as indicated by the Councilor for the Environment, Mónica Gómez, consists of “a project aimed at collecting plastic caps for recycling.
These plugs will later be delivered to a recycling company that will pay the existing market price per ton”.
The mayor has specified that the amount obtained from the recycling of the caps collected in Benidorm "will be used for the help and assistance of minors in a state of need due to diseases not covered by ordinary health systems", an aspect that is also specified in the agreement signed between the parties.
The first of these containers, in the shape of a heart, has already been installed on Aigüera avenue, next to the Town Hall and in front of Cristal Park hotel.
