Benidorm City Council hires two unemployed people through ETRAME 2025 program

Benidorm City Council has hired two unemployed individuals registered with LABORA (Valencian Employment and Training Service) who have mental health issues through the municipal program ETRAME 2025. These individuals had previously received care at the Mental Health Care and Monitoring Service (SASEM) in Benidorm.

In accordance with the principle of decentralisation, the Valencian Regional Government provides local services for people with chronic mental health problems through centres, services, programs, and resources such as SASEM. The workers participating in the program were selected by LABORA, which also provides funding for it.

The purpose of the funding is to increase the employability of the hired workers by providing them with professional experience. The amount awarded is €37,894.50, with funds coming from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).

The Councillor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, highlighted the "social work" carried out by the City Council in launching this program, which supports people who face greater difficulty accessing the job market."

Regarding the ETRAME program of Benidorm City Council, it began on December 1st, and throughout the nine-month duration of the project, participants will work in information and customer service positions for the residents of Benidorm.
