Benidorm City Council, FEMPA and POMB launch a programme to help professionals improve the digitalisation and management of their businesses

Benidorm City Council, through its Local Employment and Promotion Office, in collaboration with the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante (FEMPA), through its Acelera Pyme Office, has organised a programme aimed at companies, self-employed professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners, to provide practical tools to improve the digitalisation, management and marketing of their businesses. The programme is also supported by the Pacte per l’Ocupació de la Marina Baixa (POMB) and the Benidorm Coworking Space.
“This is a series of activities designed to help professionals, companies and entrepreneurs improve their digital presence, save time and communicate more effectively with their customers,” said Employment Councillor Mónica Gómez.
The councillor explained that “in a municipality with such intense commercial, tourism and service activity, competing successfully no longer depends solely on having a good location or a good product. It also depends heavily on being visible when customers are searching, responding quickly, building trust through mobile devices and using digital tools that help businesses work in a more organised way and with less improvisation.”
The programme will begin on Thursday, 24 September, with the session ‘Automation in Action’. The 90-minute session is designed to help businesses identify repetitive tasks, organise processes and discover simple automation solutions that can free up time in their day-to-day management.
The next session will take place on 1 October and is entitled ‘Todo Google para tu negocio + WhatsApp Business para tu negocio’. This two-hour workshop focuses on two key channels for any local business: improving its visibility on Google and providing better customer service through WhatsApp. The session will cover visibility, trust, business profiles, reviews, direct communication with customers, and WhatsApp Business features that can help improve customer service and boost sales.
The third session, on 22 October, is entitled ‘Manage Your Social Media with AI + Social Media Campaigns’. This two-hour session is aimed at businesses looking to improve their social media presence more consistently and get more out of their content.
The programme will conclude on 29 October with an important session: an in-person support day focused on digitalisation and digital marketing. This personalised assistance will allow companies, self-employed professionals and entrepreneurs in the municipality to raise specific questions and receive guidance tailored to their actual circumstances.
“The aim is to bring these ideas down to the specific needs of each business; it is a space for one-to-one support,” said Employment Councillor Mónica Gómez.
