Benidorm celebra el próximo domingo, 5 de mayo, la 39ª edición del ‘Día de la Bici’

The Sports Councilor invites families to join this call and celebrate Mother's Day on two wheels

Benidorm will celebrate next Sunday, May 5, the 39th edition of 'Bicycle Day for All', an event organized annually that brings together hundreds of lovers of this two-wheeled vehicle, which gains followers every year. The Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá, has announced that this commemoration will coincide on the calendar with the celebration of Mother's Day, which is why he has considered it “a perfect occasion for families to join the call and come to celebrate and celebrate mothers on two wheels and in company”, also stimulating “the use of the bicycle as a form of leisure that is respectful of the environment, healthy and fun.”

As in previous years, the meeting is at 9:30 a.m. in Parc de Foietes Auditorium. From this point will be where half an hour later, at 10 a.m., the march will begin, which will cover a 7.2-kilometer route through the Poniente area.

Specifically, Jordá has announced that the itinerary will begin in the park itself and will run through Jaime I, Avenida de la Armada Española, Vicente Llorca Alós, Paseo de Tamarindos – where the participants will meet again – and return to Parc de Foietes. “It will be a flat route, approximately 7.2 kilometres, which is ideal and perfectly acceptable for the entire public,” said the councillor.

Likewise, the mayor recalled that a helmet is mandatory for all participants who join the route.
At the end of the cycling event, the traditional bicycle draw will be held among all participants.
