More than 800 students from Benidorm have visited Palau d'Esports, which has had 38 stands from different centers, universities and organizations
Benidorm celebrates a new edition of the Educational Fair to inform young people about the training offer
Mayor Toni Pérez has highlighted "the importance of education and training for future employment"
Palau d'Esports L'Illa de Benidorm today hosted a new edition of the Benidorm Educational Fair, an event designed to guide young people in secondary, baccalaureate and higher cycles about the existing training offer once they leave their current schools.
From 8:30 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon, more than 800 students will have passed through the spaces of the 38 stands installed by different educational centres, entities, institutions and local, county, provincial and state organizations.
Mayor Toni Pérez, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, and members of the local government, came to the Fair to share impressions with the students and the participating entities and centres: IES Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza, IES Bernat de Sarrià, IES LÀlmadrava, IES Mediterrània, IES Pere María Orts i Bosch, Lope de Vega International School, IES Marcos Zaragoza and La Malladeta in La Vila Joiosa, IES L'Arabí in L'Alfàs, IES Bellaguarda in Altea, IES La Nucía, IES Rodolfo Llopis de Callosa, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Catholic University of Valencia, CEU Cardenal Herrera, UMH, University of Alicante, UNED Benidorm, Official Language School, CDT, Lasvi Professional Training Center, ESAT, AIRCO, Airpull, ESATUR, EASDA, FEMPA, ARCE Training, Labora, ADL, CIJB, IVAJ, Training for Adults, Firefighters, Civil Guard, Local Police, National Police, Government Regional Deputy Defense Office and Red Cross.
During the visit, the mayor stressed that in this Educational Fair "not only institutions, entities and training centres participate, but also those that are linked to employability". Pérez has stressed "the importance of continuous education and training as a fundamental element for job placement."
In this sense, the first mayor has described as a "magnificent opportunity" for students the fact that "they can learn about the comprehensive training offer that is open to them for their future employment."
This activity has become, Pérez affirmed, "an important benchmark since, not in vain, centres from all over the region and a large number of institutions from any field come here."
A hundred students from 4th year of ESO have attended IES Mediterránia, and 100 students from 4th year of ESO, PR4 and 1st year of FPB have attended IES Pere María Orts. They are joined by 55 students from Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores school in 4th ESO, 140 from IES L'Almadrava in 4th ESO, 1st in high school and FPB, 100 students from IES Bernat de Sarrià in 4th ESO, and 300 students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th of ESO, 2nd of Baccalaureate, 2nd of FPB and Vocational Education of the IES Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza.
The students of the institutes have visited throughout the day, organized in groups, the facilities with commented itineraries to advise them on the entire training offer in each of the stands.
