Benidorm celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Benidorm has celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities that is celebrated every year on December 3 all over the world, after its proclamation by the United Nations in 1992. The day has put an end to the activities organized for this reason by the Association of People with Disabilities of Benidorm and Region (ASMIBE).
At 6:00 pm, in the Assembly Hall, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, on behalf of the entire corporation, read the manifesto of the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities (CERMI). A text in favor of people with functional diversity, with a special emphasis on those who live in the rural world. Among the public, ASMIBE members, other social groups of the city and interested people; among them, the mayor, Toni Pérez; and the companions of corporation Lourdes Caselles, Lorenzo Martínez and Arturo Cabrillo.
After the manifesto, the lawyer Jesús Antonio Moure, specialist in the field, has given the conference 'Tax aid and other legal procedures for people with functional diversity'.
