Benidorm celebrates Immaculada Concepción Day with the traditional mass of the Daughters of Mary
Benidorm celebrated this Friday, December 8, the festivity of Immaculada Concepción, a celebration with roots in the town that has been celebrated uninterruptedly for decades. As part of the celebration, the parish church of Sant Jaume and Santa Ana hosted the traditional mass of the Daughters of Mary at noon in honour of the Virgin, which was attended, among others, by the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; and other members of the Municipal Corporation. All of them have supported the commission of the Daughters of Mary, represented by its member, José Vicente Pérez Pallarés, and by the four girls who participated in the religious celebration.
The Eucharist was officiated by the parish priest of San Jaime and Santa Ana, Juan Antonio González, and was marked by a heartfelt and emotional memory of María Orozco, the vice president of the Daughters of Mary, who recently passed away, as well as Vicenta Llorca, the president of this group, who has not been able to attend for health reasons.
