Benidorm approves the first grants for the acquisition of school supplies for the 2nd cycle of Infantile
The vouchers will be issued shortly and the other two remittances will be resolved
Benidorm City Council has approved the first grants for the acquisition of school supplies for the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education, corresponding to minors born in 2015 and 2016 who already had this benefit last school year 2019/2020. This first remittance "reaches 546 beneficiaries for a total amount of 33,851.75 euros", as reported by the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, who has advanced that "soon the corresponding vouchers will be issued, which may be exchanged in the establishments collaborators ”.
Moreno explained that “this time the resolution of the grant for the acquisition of school supplies will be carried out in three remittances. Thus, apart from this first one, made ex officio by the Department, a second batch of applications has been provided for from the time the period opened until September 6; and also a third, which will include the requests received from yesterday to September 23, the deadline for submission. " These last two remittances will correspond “mainly to students born in 2017 and who, therefore, this course is incorporated into a 3-year-old infant”, although it may also include boys and girls in the 2nd cycle who did not request aid in previous years.
The councillor has detailed that "for this 2020/2021 academic year the maximum individual aid will be 62 euros", and recalled that "the total amount reserved for this call is 68,000 euros, of which close to this first remittance have been allocated of 34,000 euros ".
Moreno has indicated that "as soon as the vouchers are issued, families will be informed so that they can collect them at the point they have assigned and that depends on the educational center of each student." Thus, the students of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores catholic center and the CEIPs Gabriel Miró, Mestre Gaspar López, Ausiàs March, Leonor Canalejas and Miguel Hernández will collect their vouchers at the Department of Education, located on the third floor of the Town Hall. Els Tolls and Puig Campana schools are assigned the administrative extension of Els Tolls; While in the administrative extension of Foietes, the vouchers for the students of the CEIPs Bautista Lledó, Vasco Núñez de Balboa and Aitana will be available. Finally, the beneficiaries of La Cala and El Murtal schools will collect the vouchers in the administrative extension of La Cala, and those of Serra Gelada in the extension of Rincón de Loix.
Last year, this grant reached more than 850 male and female students, a figure similar to what is expected to be achieved this year.
