Benidorm approves the 5th and 6th remittances of municipal aid to families and exceeds half a million euros granted
The Local Government Board (JGL) today approved the 5th and 6th remittances of municipal aid to families, "thus exceeding the half million euros injected in a month into the economies of the households most affected by the pandemic," according to informed today the mayor, Toni Pérez.
The mayor has detailed that remittance number 5 reaches 106 beneficiaries, for a total amount of 92,250 euros; while the sixth amounts to 105,150 euros and includes 103 households. In both cases, "beneficiary households will receive benefits ranging between 600 and 1,350 euros, depending on the number of members of the family unit." "With the approval of these two remittances - he pointed out -, the amount granted to date, at the proposal of the Technical Commission that is in charge of evaluating and evaluating the applications, stands at 535,500 euros."
Toni Pérez has transferred this information the same day that the municipal plenary session, with the votes of the local government, has approved "a budget modification to inject an extraordinary 3 million euros to this line of aid and another 3 million to the benefits destined to tissue local productive; in such a way that both items will have an endowment of 5.5 million euros ”.
The mayor has stressed that “from the moment the health crisis broke out, this City Council already foresaw that it would have important economic and social consequences, and therefore both in 2020 and the current year have mobilized maximum possible resources to serve all the people, freelancers and companies that need it ”. Thus, he pointed out, "in the first 12 months of the pandemic we mobilized 14 million euros to support households and the productive fabric of Benidorm through various aids and initiatives."
“As important as having the ability to mobilize these funds and be able to manage them in an agile way so that they reach homes, professionals and companies as soon as possible. With this objective as a priority, we set ourselves the challenge of solving weekly new remittances of aid to families and those known as ‘Paréntesis Helps’; a challenge that we are meeting thanks to the dedication and work of the City Council officials ”, he added.
The 5th and 6th remittances of the 2021 family aid will be published shortly on the Notice Board of the Electronic Office. The deadline for submitting appeals for their denial is 30 days from the publication of the resolution on the Notice Board of the web.
