Conferences and recreational activities integrate the events to be held from 3 to 10 October
The Association of Relatives and Mental patients of the Marina Baixa, AFEM, in collaboration with the department of Social Welfare in Benidorm and various public and private entities have scheduled a series of activities to mark the International Day of Mental Health, commemorated on October 10. This time, these activities will be held for a week, from 3 to 10 October, as reported by the local government spokesman José Ramón González de Zárate; AFEM president, María Consolación Muro; and the social worker of the association, Sonia Padilla. Zárate explained that these activities seek to "inform, sensitize and educate the population about mental disorders" and made "an appeal to citizens of the whole region to be involved in this week, participating in events and work with AFEM. The following day AFEM users will visit the parks of Terra Natura and Aqua Natura. AFEM president noted that the bulk of activities will be held on Monday 10 coinciding with the Day of Mental Health.
