Benidorm allocates 56,000 euros to promote employment in the city's business associations

The Local Government Board of Benidorm City Council has approved a new call for the annual grants launched by the Department of Employment and Local Promotion to help with the labour and operating costs of business and/or entrepreneurial entities in Benidorm. The City Council will allocate a total of €56,000 to this call, according to the Councillor for the department, Mónica Gómez. She noted that applicant entities will be eligible for a maximum grant of €8,000 to be used for hiring staff.
Through this call, "we want to help business entities maintain their workforce, primarily administrative staff, and thus be able to continue providing support services to companies operating in Benidorm or to those launching a new business," the councillor emphasised.
As established in the call for proposals, non-profit business associations in Benidorm that have a permanent, active establishment or premises open to the public with business hours and that carry out activities to support entrepreneurs and businesses in the city are eligible for these grants. Mónica Gómez also explained that the amount of the grant each entity receives will be used to cover the expenses of the association's staff hired to carry out management and administration functions within the applicant association, carried out between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025, as established in the rules.
As in previous years, applications must be submitted online through the e-office (https://sede.benidorm.org). The deadline will begin the day after the terms and conditions are published in the Official State Gazette (BOP) and will run until October 31, 2025.
Gómez noted that "we have always believed that employment is the best social policy that can be promoted and implemented." Therefore, "one of the lines of action of the Employment and Local Promotion Agency is the promotion of employment and support, whether through direct actions or grant applications such as these, through which we support business associations whose members, in turn, generate employment."
