Within the program of events of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities that is commemorated worldwide tomorrow, December 3, sponsored by the UN, the Association of People with Disabilities of Benidorm and Region (ASMIBE), has organized this afternoon , with the collaboration of the Department of Social Welfare, a conference on the benefits of adapted sport in people with functional diversity that has been developed in the Assembly Hall of the City Council.
The conference was attended by the mayor, Toni Pérez, the head of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, representatives of the local government and the opposition. Precisely, Llorca has been responsible for opening the act by reading a manifesto on the subject of International Day.
The talk has been given by Santi Sanz, Bachelor of Sports Science, Master in High Performance Sports and PhD in Exercise Physiology. The speaker has set an example of the Paralympic Relay program of the Valencian Community, sponsored by the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and that promotes sports among people with functional diversity.
