Beginning the practices for the students of the training program of gardening promoted by the Department of Employment
The students of the Professional Training Program for the Employment of 'Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centers' have begun the period of non-work practices. In total there are nine students, eight men and one woman, who are formed through this training program, sponsored by the Employment and Local Development Agency of Benidorm.
The practices are carried out in accordance with the agreement signed last March 20 by Benidorm City Council with the concessionaire of maintenance of gardens and green areas of the city, Grupo Generala, and will be carried out in different areas of the city, such as Promenade of Poniente Beach and l'Aigüera Park, as well as in the municipal nursery. The internship will last until 20 April and includes a total of 80 hours of the 270 of this activity.
The Course of 'Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centers' is subsidized by SERVEF with a total of 22,377.60 Euros. The councilwoman of Employment, MªJesús Pinto, recalled the importance of this course, as it"will allow its participants to obtain the certificate of professionalism that will facilitate their access to the labor market." This is one of the courses of this type currently being carried out, along with the one of 'Sale of Products and Tourist Services', two training actions "aimed at improving the employability of our neighbors," added the councilwoman
Throughout the training process, students receive theoretical training in their specialty, as well as modules on labor insertion, environmental awareness and equality, as well as promotion of self-employment or the training required to have the professional card of manipulator of phytosanitary products .
