The AVT awards on the World Tourism Day the promotion and communication of Benidorm Film Office
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, picked up this afternoon in a ceremony held in Valencia, the award granted by the Agència Valenciana de Turisme (AVT) to Benidorm Film Office in recognition of its promotional work and tourism communication. The 'Premi Turisme' in this mode, has been delivered by the president of the Valencian Government, Ximo Puig, coinciding with the celebration of World Tourism Day.
When recognizing the work developed by Benidorm Film Office, the jury of the 'Premis Turisme' has valued the innovative promotion and the initiatives carried out by the filming office to improve the "positioning" of the destination.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, the responsible for the Film Office, Rosa Llorca, and the manager of Visit Benidorm, Leire Bilbao, went to the Valencian capital to collect the award, after participating in the event organized in the morning in Benidorm to celebrate the World Tourism Day, in which the "Benidorm City" Tourism Awards were presented.
The Benidorm Film Office award is, in the words of the mayor, is "the recognition and reward for a constant and tenacious work that we have been doing with Visit Benidorm, in which many municipal departments are also involved with the aim of becoming a competitive destination within the so-called 'screentourism', a market in constant expansion ". Benidorm Film Office has already participated this year in the Assembly of the Spain Film Commission, of which the most important filming offices of the country are part.
