The auditions of the candidates to act on Paseo de los Artists de Benidorm begin

The artists, once demonstrated their quality, will occupy points of great influx of public in front of the beach

The tests for the selection of the artists that will occupy the positions of Paseo de los Artistas have begun this morning. The pre-selected have auditioned in the Assembly Hall of the City Council, before the jury, composed of technical staff of the Department of Culture, professionals of the performing arts and music, and a local representative.

In order to get one of the positions on the Paseo de los Artistas, near the beach front and with a large influx of public, applicants must be of legal age, be registered in Benidorm for at least six months and discharge in the Regime Special of Freelance Workers of the Social Security. Foreigners must also have a passport, residence permit or the resident's card. Finally, the mandatory occupancy rate of the public thoroughfare must be paid. To the stage of audition have acceded five individual artists, a musical group and a spectacle of puppets.

El Paseo de los Artistas is formed by the authorized points of Parque de Elche in front of Esmeralda Hotel; corner of Parque de Elche and Maravall street; Paseo de Poniente in front of Villa del Mar Hotel; Paseo de Poniente in front of Poseidón Playa Hotel; Corner of Mediterráneo and Ametlla de Mar avenues; intersection of Gerona street and Ametlla del Mar; from the latter, the intersection with Juan Fuster Zaragoza; Plaza de SS MM los Reyes de España; Plaza Castelar; and the confluence of this square with the one of Santa Ana. In addition, to these points must be added the corner of the Parque de Elche and Paseo de Colón in the afternoons.
