It is scheduled to end in ten days to give way to technical tests

The assembly work of Benidorm Fest 2023 begins at Palau d'Esports

10 January 2023
Benidorm Fest 2023

This morning the assembly of the stages in which the second edition of Benidorm Fest will be held began, some work that is carried out inside Palau d'Esports L'Illa de Benidorm and that will last for the next few days until shortly before the celebration of the contest.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, visited the facility this morning to check 'in situ' the progress of the work and has done so accompanied by the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, and the Councilor for Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate.

At the moment, special flooring has already been installed throughout the pavilion to protect the platform, and tomorrow the assembly of the stages will begin. Today the assembly of the lighting also begins and some areas have already been delimited and access restrictions for vehicles have been put in place.

The forecast is that these works will be completed in ten days to begin technical tests from January 20.

This second edition of Benidorm Fest will begin on Sunday 29 with a day called 'Opening'. This year 18 artists will participate in the event so nine of them will perform in each semifinal. The first semifinal will take place on Tuesday, January 31, and the second two days later, on Thursday, February 2. The final will be on Saturday, February 4 with the participation of the eight best classified, and the artist who will represent Spain in the next Eurovision festival will be chosen. In total, RTVE received 876 songs to take part in Benidorm Fest 2023.

The success of the contest is guaranteed as evidenced by the fact that the tickets sold out within seconds of its launch. On this occasion, the conductors of Benidorm Fest will be Inés Hernand, who repeats, and who will be accompanied by Rodrigo Vázquez and Mónica Naranjo.
