Artisans and artists star in a new edition of 'Les Nits del Castell' in Benidorm

Benidorm will inaugurate on July 1 a new edition of 'Les Nits del Castell', the traditional exhibition of artisans and artists that every year, and during the summer, energizes with its posts the area of ​​the Old Town. The councilman of the area, Lorenzo Martínez, has presented a new edition of the traditional art and trade show that this year will change its traditional location in El Castell due to the work of recovering the archaeological remains that began a few days ago. "We are immersed," Martínez said, "in the excavation works of the Castell, that is why the artists' activity will be at Castelar square and the artisans will move to La Senyoria square."

The mayor has been convinced that the location in the vicinity of the Castell will not prevent "highlight, even more if possible, the area." Martinez has specified that there will be 14 artits, 3 artists of braids of thread and 18 artisans who will participate in the current edition of 'Les Nits'.

The councilman of Commerce has also reported the holding of free workshops so that interested people "can learn how artisans develop their jobs." This activity will take place every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of July, except for days 30 and 31. The scheduled workshops are: thread and leather, soaps, children's plates, ornaments, rice grains, silver, turtles, marine crystals , seashells, leather and steel, wire crafts, workshop for children, juggling and stones, polymer clay and ceramics.

Finally, Martínez has specified that all the artisans "who come to work and show their professionalism" in 'Les Nits del Castell' are fully accredited and qualified, and come from locations in the Marina Baixa, the province and other autonomous communities .
