Toni Pérez stated that the local administration "will always stand by Anémona Association in everything it does."

Ermita de Sanz hosted the traditional summer fundraising dinner last night, organised by Anémona (an association for women with breast and gynaecological cancer in Benidorm and the region). The event aimed to raise funds to finance activities and therapies for the group, thereby mitigating and minimising the effects of the disease.

Shortly before 9:00 p.m., guests began to arrive and were welcomed by Anémona activists. Anémona's president, María Botella, expressed her gratitude for the attendance and support of all those present, as their contributions allow the association to continue its social work.

More than 500 people joined Anémona for the dinner, which included the usual raffles and prize draws. This year, the event was attended by the President of the Regional Government, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, who was accompanied by the Mayor, Toni Pérez, the Councillor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, and numerous members of the local council.

The proceeds from this dinner will go to all women who suffer from the disease and to research, explained María Botella, who wanted to give a “special mention” to the Councillor for Social Welfare and the Councillor for Sports. She also thanked the local council “for their efforts because they are always supporting us.” “And I want to thank my colleagues for their tremendous effort in organising all of this, as well as our team of professionals who work tirelessly for all the women affected,” she added. Botella highlighted the national regatta in Benidorm as the event of the year, in which more than 100 women affected by breast cancer participated, and expressed her gratitude to coach Ramón Garrigós, the Nautical Club, and José Vidal's team of professionals “who keep us fit.”

Pérez Llorca, for his part, said he felt “right at home” and also wanted to emphasise the work of Anémona, “because doctors cure physical ailments, but the emotional aspect is up to you and organisations like yours. You improve women's lives.” The president also thanked the mayor and the city council “for always being there for Anémona.”

Finally, Toni Pérez emphasised that it was the first time a president of the Regional Government had attended this dinner and recalled that Anémona “began many years ago in this place with a great response from Benidorm and the region.” The mayor stated, “We will always support you in everything you do,” adding, “We are very fortunate to have Anémona, a friendly voice, someone who inspires you and with whom you can row comfortably in the same direction.”

During the dinner, a bouquet was also presented to Marina López, the young designer of this year's charity walk t-shirt.
