The race for the benefit of Anémona has covered the area of El Moralet
About 300 participants in the fourth edition of the charity trail 'Javier Velasco por ellas'
About 300 people participated this Sunday in the 'IV Trail Javier Velasco a por ellas', a solidarity race for the benefit of Anémona, the Self-Help Group of Women with Breast Cancer, and organized by Club Ultra Trial Benidorm in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Equality.
The participants have gathered shortly before 10.00 in the Foietes Park, from where the test has started. The first to take the exit have been the participants in the walk senderista; about 20 minutes later, the trail runners have done it; and ultimately, children, with a test designed for them and in which they have traveled around a kilometer.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, was in charge of giving the start of the trail test; while the president of Anémona, Maria Botella, and the organizer of the event, Javier Velasco, have done the same with the hiking walk. Both modalities have shared circuit of 7.3 kilometers through the wooded area of El Moralet.
After the race, the prizes of the trail have been awarded. The first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer; the Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll; and several members of the corporation have been in charge of delivering the trophies to the riders who have marked the best times.
