About 30 people participate in the third edition of ‘Activate for employment’
About 30 people have participated in the third edition of 'Activate for employment', a free coaching training activity aimed at unemployed people over 30, organized by the Employment and Local Promotion Agency (AEDL), fully funded by the Social Work La Caixa, and taught by counselor Vigela Lloret. The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, has attended today the last session of the activity, which since Monday has been held at the Jelena social center from 09.30 to 13.30 hours.
Gómez has indicated that the objective of the activity is that “participants develop their own strategy of job search, taking into account the importance of the continued effort in that process”. The mayor has stressed that "at least 50% of unemployed people who participated in this program in 2018 achieved a job based on the knowledge and skills acquired." From there, he added, that "in 2019 we have extended the program's call to three editions."
Once the group sessions are finished today, individualized tutorials will be held on 24, 25 and 30.
