About 150 runners participate in the 6th stage of La Volta Ciclista a La Marina, with start and finish in Benidorm
Benidorm has welcomed this morning the start and finish of the 6th stage of the XXXIV Cycling Volta a La Marina, in which about 150 runners have participated and has been organized by the Cycling Union of Benidorm with the collaboration of the Department of Sports . About 10.15 hours the race has started, with a neutral start at Vicente Llorca Alós Avenue and that this year premiered a new circuit. Ahead, the cyclists had 68 kilometers that have taken them to the municipalities of Finestrat and Orxeta; and a double ascent to Alto de Finestrat, port of 2nd category.
The Councilors of Public Security, Lorenzo Martínez; Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca; and Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez; They have been responsible for the start of the test, as well as delivering, together with the representative of the Cycling Union of Benidorm, Manuel Martínez, the trophies in each category: Absolute, Master 30, Master 40, Master 50, Master 60; U23, Junior, Elite and Females.
The cyclist Antonio Domene, of the Ijes Solar-Puertas Castalla, was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 1:34:30 in a very tight ‘sprint’ in which the victory was decided by the minimum. The runners Pedro José López (of the Orquín Sports Group) and Moisés Espinós (of Suministro Dama) have completed the podium.
After this 6th stage and in the absence of two for last, Moisés Espinós, of Suministro Dama, leads this edition of La Volta Ciclista a La Marina.
