Tickets can now be purchased through www.entradasatualcance.com with prices of 5 and 7 euros
The 2nd Benidorm Theater Exhibition expands its activities and will have five performances
Benidorm Cultural Center will be the stage where the five works that will make up the second edition of Benidorm Theater Fair will be performed, which was presented this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, accompanied by two of the directors of the companies that will be present at it.
The Exhibition will be held on May 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25 and tickets to attend any of them, or all five, are now available through the website www.entradasatualcance.com with a price that varies between five and seven euros.
The Exhibition will be opened by the play 'Esto no es vida' by the Arteatro company and directed by Ana Maestre on the 17th. A day later 'Niebla' will be performed, an adaptation of the work by Miguel de Unamuno, by the local company Catarsis and the direction of Manuel Palazón. On May 18, DobleK Teatro will perform the comedy 'Mamá'. The following week, on the 24th, the Alpí Teatre company will bring the play 'Las Gracias Moldosas' under the direction of Ricardo Molina and will close with the gestural humour play 'Limit', by the María Andrés company.
The Councilor for Culture has highlighted that with this Exhibition “continuity is given and what was done last year with the Amateur Theater Exhibition is strengthened, with the increase in the number of participating companies, which goes from three to five.” Jaime Jesús Pérez has also pointed out that “from now on” you can purchase seats to attend any of the performances. “They can be reserved at prices of 5 and 7 euros and 50 tickets of 24 euros have also been put on sale to attend the five plays,” he specified. The councillor has encouraged “all Benidorm theatre lovers to come and enjoy this Exhibition, which offers a great variety of styles.”
Manuel Palazón, director of the catharsis, has indicated that the play they will perform is an adaptation of the novel 'Niebla' by Unamuno to the theatre by Palazón. “The protagonist is a transcript of the author with the typical existential concerns of Unamuno,” explained Palazón.
For his part, Ricardo Molina, director of Alpí Teatre, thanked the Department for the work carried out “because it was necessary to have a Theater Show in the city” and described it as “pride” to finish in Benidorm the national tour that they have carried out with 'The mouldy graces'. “It is a grotesque and absurd comedy, a beautiful entanglement that rescues the figure of Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán, a 17th-century author, a contemporary of Lope de Vega, who did not have many echoes in her time because she was a woman,” Molina said.
