10 first years of SM La Nova in Benidorm
Óscar Esplá auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera in Benidorm has hosted this afternoon the concert that, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, has starred the Societat Musical La Nova de Benidorm. An event in which new musicians have been admitted and commemorative metopes given to members and musicians.
At 7:00 p.m., the president of La Nova, Juan Vicente Moreno, welcomed the more than 200 people who had gathered at the Óscar Esplá. Among the public, the mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez and other members of the Municipal Corporation.
Before the concert, Moreno thanked families, teachers and directors for their background all these years and also for the support received by the Department of Culture and the City Council. The president of the entity has also claimed the effort made by its director, Francisco José Rovira Peretó.
The program has been made up in the first part by the pasodoble 'Villa de Benidorm', by Enrique Gosp and has continued with the symphonic poem 'Sait' by Rafael Giner and 'Hispania (Spanish Fantasy)', by Óscar Navarro.
After the first part, the metopes were handed over and, afterwards, Toni Pérez took the floor to congratulate La Nova on its first ten years of life "for having understood that there was room for a new musical option in Benidorm" and the "important" effort developed by the entity that has represented "the music and culture of our city" to the world. The society, Pérez recalled, has "around 80 musicians" on stage, "people committed to Benidorm" and "300 students in its School of Music, the future of the entity".
In the second part, the Societat Musical La nova has performed 'The Wedding of Luis Alonso', by Gerónimo Giménez and 'Alejandro Magno (Symphonic Suite), by Miguel Morales.
