Toni Pérez highlights the role of Dinapsis as a strategic partner to advance in sustainability and resilience
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, today highlighted the role of Dinapsis as a strategic partner in achieving a more sustainable and resilient city. Coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the commissioning of the innovation centre, Toni Pérez has been invited to participate in the General Meeting of Agbar Stakeholders. In a videoconference from Dinapsis Benidorm itself, the mayor has assured that "the balance of these 5 years of joint work with Dinapsis could not be more satisfactory", since, hand in hand with the centre, progress has been made in "the roadmap marked out in our Strategic Plan for the Smart Tourist Destination”.
Thus he has mentioned, the collaboration of Dinapsis in the preparation of key documents to increase the resilience of Benidorm such as the Plan against floods, or the promotion of environmental projects to attract European funds.
During his intervention, Toni Pérez has valued the sustainability of the Benidorm model and has explained how daily management, for example in water matters, contributes to it. At this point, he recalled that Benidorm has a drinking water network that has a performance of over 95%, and that the city uses purified water to wash down streets or irrigate green areas.
In addition, he has stressed that the entire digitization process has made it possible to have data and indicators that contribute to better planning municipal action and focusing it on needs.
