The mayor of Benidorm has participated this morning in the Safe Tourist Destinations and technological solutions forum organized by Plaza Group, with the sponsorship of the Center for Digital Intelligence of the Province of Alicante, CNID, and the operator Yoigo, the president of the Provincial Council , Carlos Mazón, and the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, opened the forum that analyzed the situation in two tables –technology and safe tourist destinations-.

Pérez has highlighted the municipal management during the pandemic, the effects that this has had on the tourist destination and its social, labor and business fabric, the initiatives developed and the future prospects, highlighting that right now “the sector modulates the opening according to of demand ”while insisting on“ we need international tourism to return to the large numbers ”.

The mayor stressed that after these months of work and the redirection of the roadmap to DTI + Safe, "Benidorm is now a better destination and a better city", highlighting the steps taken and the support of technology and the analysis and interpretation of the data because “there are tools and the ability to put them into value to obtain a diagnosis and apply it”.
