'Càntics d'amor, himnes de pau' will allocate the entire collection to Caritas
This morning has been presented in Benidorm the show for the benefit of Caritas 'Càntics d'amor, himnes de pau' to be held this Friday, June 2, in the auditorium 'Julio Iglesias' Parc de l'Aigüera from 8:15 p.m.
The Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, together with the director, promoter of the initiative and director of the Youth Band of the Unió Musical of Benidorm, Pedro Salinas; The professors Michel López (Lope de Vega) and Miguel Devesa (Miguel Hernández); and the representative of Caritas in Benidorm, María Dolores Llinares, have appeared before the media to present an initiative that will bring together the Youth Band of the Unió Musica de Benidorm with children from the schools Aitana, Ausiàs March, Gabriel Miró, Lope de Vega, Miguel Hernández and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and will have the special collaboration of Nora Rizzo and Vicent Pérez Zaragoza. "A solidarity concert," said Pellicer, "that the two euros that will cost the entrance will be destined in its entirety to Caritas."
Ana Pellicer thanked Pedro Salinas and the Youth Band "the great implication" in this initiative and has not missed the opportunity to thank Caritas "the great work of solidarity that carries out throughout the year."
Musical Symbols
The aim of this initiative, said Pedro Salinas, is that "all the children of Benidorm know the musical symbols of their land." In this case, the hymn of Benidorm and the hymn of the Comunitat Valenciana, "from there," he underlined, "that the project is called 'Càntics d'amor, himnes de pau'" because what is intended is "from here to 30, 40 or 50 years "are still singing.
International school teacher Lope de Vega, Michel López, described the project as "wonderful" because it makes it easier for children to approach a band and to "be able to sing", which teachers "give us the job". Miguel Devesa, head of the school Miguel Hernández, has described as "very grateful" the opportunity to be able to participate together with Unió so that the students know how a band is and have the opportunity "to sing with it live ".
Finally, Mariá Dolores Llinares has called the idea "very good" and thanked the City Council, the Unió Musical and the schools "solidarity with Caritas because Caritas needs it."
