Sant Antoni Fiestas Committee organizes the II Potato Omelette Contest
Sant Antoni Fiestas Committee has organized the second edition of the Potato Omelette Contest. This gastronomic event will take place next Saturday, May 25, at Ermita de Sanç and will serve to raise funds for these festivities, which will be celebrated in mid-January. The Councilor for Festivals of the Benidorm City Council, Mariló Cebreros, and the president of Sant Antoni, Vicente Mayor, have explained that this initiative aims to “promote one of the most traditional recipes of our land” and have invited “everyone who wants to participate.” "Want to demonstrate your skills when making a Spanish omelette."
Sant Antoni 2025 Festival Committee will recognize the three best tortillas with cash prizes of 100, 75 and 50 euros, respectively. To be able to participate, you only have to be over 18 years old, and you can only present one omelette, with at least five servings. Which must have as ingredients: egg, potato, salt and, optionally, onion, and you can also add any other that you consider appropriate.

The time to present the omelettes will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. All the ingredients used must be written.
The members of Sant Antoni Commission will also have an open bar with sandwiches, soft drinks, beers and mixed drinks at popular prices to liven up the day along with the performance of DJs.
