The Red Cross recognizes Benidorm Fest for its solidarity with those affected by the DANA

The Red Cross has recognised Benidorm City Council as co-organiser of Benidorm Fest, for the solidarity this musical competition offered to those affected by the DANA earthquake, which devastated numerous towns in the province of Valencia on October 29th, leaving 228 victims. Councillor for Events Jesús Carrobles, along with the Director General of Tourism of the Valencian Government, Israel Martínez, received this recognition from the NGO in Valencia today.
As previously announced, the Benidorm Fest donated €150,155 from this year's ticket sales to the Red Cross to help those affected by the DANA earthquake, as a gesture of solidarity, empathy, and support for those affected by this catastrophe. Councillor Jesús Carrobles expressed his gratitude to the Red Cross for its recognition of this charitable initiative and stated that it was "a source of pride and satisfaction to be able to collaborate, also through the Benidorm Fest, to help people recover from the effects of this devastating disaster."
