Óscar Esplá auditorium opens a new stage and a new access ramp
Óscar Esplá Auditorium of l'Aigüera Park will premiere today a new modular stage of aluminum and phenolic board, specially adapted, and a new rear access ramp to facilitate the assembly of shows and the activities that are held throughout the year in this public space, most organized by cultural and social entities of Benidorm.
The councilors of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca; Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez; and Obras, José Ramón González de Zárate, have supervised this morning the commissioning of the installation that will be premiered today by ASMIBE, the Association of People with Disabilities of Benidorm, with the celebration of the seventeenth edition of its Charity Festival of Coexistence. Tomorrow, Saturday, June 29, the Music Band Festival 'Ciutat de Benidorm', organized by the Societat Musical l'Illa, will do the same.
The person in charge of the municipal area of Culture has indicated that the material is "a special anti-slip and anti-humidity plywood, measuring nine by eight meters, of adjustable height between 60 centimeters and one meter". The new municipal facility also has a new rear ramp "to improve accessibility", and "space has been adapted" to accommodate a capacity of 120 more chairs.
The investment made "amounts to 14,700 euros," Jaime Jesús Pérez has indicated, "which adds to the work previously carried out on the remodeling of the changing rooms and the construction of public toilets."
