The Local Police expand their training with a course on dog inspections in nightclubs

21 October 2025
La Policía Local amplía su formación con un curso de inspección con perros en locales nocturnos

The Benidorm Local Police Station is hosting a training course this week to improve officers' skills in inspecting nightclubs with K9 units, as these units are equipped with dogs trained to perform police work. The Councillor for Public Service, Jesús Carrobles, and the Councillor for Human Resources, Ana Soliveres, along with the new trainee commissioner of the Local Police, Jose Carlos Amorós, welcomed all the participants to this training yesterday, along with Francisco Ángel González, representative of the SPPLB Professional Union, as the organiser of the training.

The course, taught by an officer and an agent from Benidorm Local Police K9 Unit, is approved by the IVASPE (Spanish Institute of Public Safety and Criminal Justice) and is attended by around thirty local police officers from the city and different parts of the province. The course provides training on criminal and jurisprudential aspects of drug trafficking, operational and tactical measures in nightclubs, and practical interventions in real-life scenarios.
